1. m 5'1 as well. i choose my thicker soled tennis shoes to ride and it helps. The thinner my shoe was the less comfortable it was to ride. I do wish the handlebars adjusted forward and aft as well but for the most part I adjust the seat and I can ride pretty comfortably.
